Did you know that SoMa has an indoor driving range?
Our very own high tech driving range.
Yea neither did I!

I decided to stop by and check it out!

Have to say Eagle Club Indoor Golf is pretty freaking sweet!

I walked in unsure of what to expect and was greeted with the friendliest smile and warmest energy ever. Peter, who just moved back to the bay after being gone for 8 years, gave me a one on one tour of the facility while explaining the high tech simulations and data analytics of the stroke.

So it turns out that the StartUp mecca of the world, also known as SOMA, has an indoor driving range that host private parties and serves alcohol until 9 pm Monday through Friday. How did we miss this little gem.
It is so very Bay Area to take a break from work and walk over to the high tech driving range.

Whether you are an avid golfer, new to golf, don’t care about golf but care about a place open late that serves drinks, just want to go and be nosy, you thought golf was football, you own a Playstation, you are a tourist, you have seen a Nintendo Wii, you want to chill on your lunch, your cousin told you about it, or to host a meetup or team building event.
This is a perfect Tech spot for the #Startuplife!

If you discover you have a passion for golf beyond the occasional visit you can get tips from PGA tour pros like Rob Boldt and Courtney Burdick.

But let not aim to perfect your new found golf skills it may create a desire to go off and join the tour!
We still need you to create golf apps for those who can’t get to SOMA.

Extra Extra BLINK All About It!

The new #GoogleGlass update is truly having me question my life!

I used to feel sorry for those with no water, food, or shelter, but today I just feel bad for those who cant take  photos with a wink! Yes you heard me I said WINK!
Google, of Silicon Valley, just hit me harder than the Beyonce secret album! They introduced an update for the GODS! Unexpected and readily accepted!
And I bow down!
So the update says “Hey would you like to star in your own Sfi-series and wink photos, watch holograms, do some in air hang outs and oh by the way since we like you we are letting your long lost cousin use our platform too and give you more space to send that tweet ABOUT your Google Glass”

My reply : Why yes,yes I would

What would you do for $5? #ThatTechGirl and Fiverr

What would you do for $5? Apparently 2 million people will do a lot! @michakaufman & @shani_wininger of @fiverr hit a home run! An online market place to buy or sell gigs! Simple enough right. You would be right! Headquartered in #israel, Fiverr is serving the globe amazing talent at $5 a pop! In honor of welcoming Fiverr to #siliconvalley for our interview next week at @sfnewtech I joined the fun and set up a gig! I also ordered a few!  Excellent platform for sellers to build reputation & audience!  They can bill a gig between $5 and $500 .You will be amazed at what you can accomplish for $5! From custom #businessplan #graphicdesign #websitedesign #coding #pr even a custom rap song just for you! I learned about @fiverr in 2010 and im embarrassed to say …I did not believe. Call me an #American if you will but I thought the only thing anyone would do for 5 dollars was not sign up on a website like. Yes I was wrong for dismissing them so quickly. I was in a meeting and the fiverr name came up again so I wanted to give them another look and im glad life offers 2nd chances! Not only is #fiverr  #ThatTechGirl Approved They are also my #startup of month! If you use them let me know! If you want to use them but unsure which seller to use let me know! Is Twitter heading to the White House?

San Francisco based tech giant,Twitter, has registered to lobby on Capitol Hill and will form a political action committee, dubbed Twitter#PAC.

The #PAC will basically lobby to bring the government up to speed with the rest of the world. Their topics include Internet freedom, patent reform, government access to user data and net neutrality. Others who are already out front are Facebook, Google and Microsoft . The company has registered William Carty, its manager of public policy, as its official lobbyist. Carty was hired by Twitter in 2012 after serving as policy director of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation.

Why should you care? Everything they are lobbying for or against will affect you personally and directly! Welcome to the digital age!

Litterati – A Litter Free World with Perks

I first learned about Litterati while co hosting SFNewTech. They were one of the presenters. I thought to myself “Cool another water style campaign or  a Toms Shoes”. Its a bit more. More active,more social, and more responsibility.

Jeff Kirschner, founder of Litterati, had a simple idea; lets clean up the Bay Area and lets involve social media. The idea spread worldwide

I love it!

But since I am who I am I had to take it a step further ….I took it a step further as you can see from my personal Litterati, I took snaps of the action taken, not just of the litter.
