Here’s the rough schedule:
• 08:30 – Doors open. Arrive and chat with your fellow movie makers.
• 09:00 – Pitching Session- Pitch a script, an idea, a prop or an unusual skill you possess. After everyone has pitched their idea we form teams.
• 10:00 – BREAK OUT Session- brainstorming / script writing / planning
• 15:00 – If you plan on finishing the editing in one day this is a pretty good time to start. Otherwise you can shoot however long you want and edit it in the days that follow the event.
Tips for success:
• Show up at 8:30 SHARP! People arriving after 9 won’t be let in (it’s locked) until after the pitching is done. This has worked great so far! Thanks for showing up on time. 🙂
• Bring equipment, scripts, props and ideas! It’s always easier to start with something than to brainstorm from nothing (although we can do that too).
• Keep the films short! 1 minute of awesomeness is better than 10 minutes nobody wants to watch!
