High Tech Golf and Drinks for Lunch?

At Eagle Driving range in Silicon Valley
At Eagle Driving range in Silicon Valley

Did you know that SoMa has an indoor driving range?
Our very own high tech driving range.
Yea neither did I!

I decided to stop by and check it out!

Have to say Eagle Club Indoor Golf is pretty freaking sweet!

I walked in unsure of what to expect and was greeted with the friendliest smile and warmest energy ever. Peter, who just moved back to the bay after being gone for 8 years, gave me a one on one tour of the facility while explaining the high tech simulations and data analytics of the stroke.

So it turns out that the StartUp mecca of the world, also known as SOMA, has an indoor driving range that host private parties and serves alcohol until 9 pm Monday through Friday. How did we miss this little gem.
It is so very Bay Area to take a break from work and walk over to the high tech driving range.

Whether you are an avid golfer, new to golf, don’t care about golf but care about a place open late that serves drinks, just want to go and be nosy, you thought golf was football, you own a Playstation, you are a tourist, you have seen a Nintendo Wii, you want to chill on your lunch, your cousin told you about it, or to host a meetup or team building event.
This is a perfect Tech spot for the #Startuplife!

If you discover you have a passion for golf beyond the occasional visit you can get tips from PGA tour pros like Rob Boldt and Courtney Burdick.

But let not aim to perfect your new found golf skills it may create a desire to go off and join the tour!
We still need you to create golf apps for those who can’t get to SOMA.

Inspiring on Instagram?

Hi There!

I am writing a book that shows the importance of not just social media but the direct affects of Instagram. I am on a hunt to find inspiring Instagram stories about interesting, inspiring people who are based on Instagram.
When I say “Instagram based” I am referring to those who found their voice, niche, fame, fortune, and/or audience on the Instagram platform.

If you have turned a hobby into a business, found truly love, booked a job, found a lost friend, made new friends, sold products, launched a product or project, kicked off a social good project then I want to hear from you!

Your interview can be which ever medium you prefer:

A. G+ Hangout interview
B. Phone call (Skype or actual call)
C. Written format (I can send you questions)
D. In person (if you are in Silicon Valley)

I would love to include your story in this project
The book is a friendly ebook (100 pages or less)

Send inquires to

Don’t keep score

A Sunday #startup tip!
Branding is important and so is ease of use on cross platform mobile devices.
So avoid the underscore!
It is not clean #ux #ui

When selecting social media accounts do NOT include an underscore.
The underscore is for windows 95 files. Please let it stay there! It isn’t a part of your brand or logo. Think bigger! You would never see Coke or Pepsi pulling this rookie move!!

Tag someone to help their branding!

Should you seek to increase your wage?

image

#Tech #Tuesday tip for the #millennial #startup #entrepreneur

Wage, rates, and salary are often the goal of a worker. A person who may not achieve financial wealth. The Only thing that brings true wealth is Profit, not wages.

Wages are cool for those who do not want the responsibility of leadership. Which is 110% ok. However you must realize that you will be executing someone else’s dream, doing 99% of the work and earning a wage instead of sharing in the profits.
Stop trading your life for the “wage dream”

DAL-TILE and Liberty Madison remembers founder Robert Brittingham

image

@daltile made my year!  I attended the #sfdesignstudio event with #mohawkgroup + #daltile and I literally cried twice.

The universe gave me a gift!!
I got a chance to revisit my childhood memories with the #president and #vp of Daltile.
#haroldturk and I connected over a shocker!

We both loved and cared for the #founder of Daltile. My mentor Robert Brittingham.
(Bob) changed my families Life. He was/is a visionary. As a child he steered me in the direction towards #entrepreneurship. Yes my Jr high and high-school was shaped by this man. Day in and day out. I sat in on so many meetings of him yelling at these guys, yelling at #jerryjones yelling at the #mayor. He was stubborn but had a good heart. He dropped out of #usc to launch daltile. I remember sitting next to his bed and him saying he would do it all over again. He said follow your dreams and use EVERYTHING you have to your advantage. Whether its #beauty #brillance it just doesn’t matter use all of your tools!
I practically lived w this man. He was amazing and to walk down a street I Never go down and see the manifestation of his vision brought me to tears. I walked up and asked if I could speak to a Dal til employee and I walked up to the president! Something kept telling me to go down that street I didn’t get it but now I do. Im so thankful to connect with these men and share stories and tears! Remembering a man who changed all of our lives!!

It was so funny they could not believe I knew so much detail and inside corporate information. It was so funny! They paraded me around and I had the honor of meeting more of (MR.B) lovely employees.
I felt like I was finally back in Dallas with family.

Yes living with Billionaires raises the bar and exposes you to a world most would only dream of.

My tips and experience about life is a combination of my time with Robert Brittingham. (MR.B) has been my bar on which to measure success.

A few quotes from him
“A good fight is good for the soul”
“Calculate the risk”
“At times its unethical but do it anyway” (well we differ on that) 🙂
“Use everything good gave you”
“Never let one person determine your future, find a way”

He had a vision, launched, grew it to the largest ceramics company on the planet.
I think of my OFTEN

And I miss him. I loved him.
Thank you!

Pictured above is me with Harold Turk (President) and #JohnCousins (#vicepresident)

I bet Mr.B is tripping out. What were the chances of me going a way I don’t normally go to run into these men in #sanfrancisco and share a moment!
Its a small world!

MY POST OF THE YEAR!
#rip you are loved.
